Last week the Prime Minister announced a plan for peace with 5 main areas with the the first upholding the longstanding culture of having a king. At first it appeared that everyone thought it was a good plan. However, there are some people who do not want peace and violence has erupted in Bangkok. Please pray for God’s mercy amidst tremendous hate and anger in Thailand. Pray that the very, very, small percentage of Christians in this country (less than 1/2 of 1 percent of 66 million people) will be the salt and light of our Lord Jesus during these troubled times.
Thai authorities declared a state of emergency in 15 provinces yesterday in order to prevent UDD supporters in the countryside from joining the protest camp in Bangkok. The affected provinces include Chonburi, Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Ayutthaya, Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, Chaiyaphum, Nakhon Ratchasima, Si Sa Ket, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Nan, Lampang and Nakhon Sawan. A state of emergency imposed on Bangkok and Nonthaburi in April also remains in place.
THAILAND IS IN NEED OF YOUR PRAYERS,
Michael
“No king is saved by the size of his army; no warrior escapes by his great strength…But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear Him, on those whose hope is in His unfailing love.” (Psalm 33:16-18)
